I'll hack it into one of Summit's pompous screeds next time, so you won't see it.

There a dress code? Should I just bring the OT die-rolling apps or go full-bore Maces and Monsters chainmail-and-foam-swords, here? Because really, knowing your gaming buddies, it wouldn't be outta place for a murder mystery. It sounds like it'll be full of fun either way. They're always a hoot.

Also, I want it on the record I did not raise the topic of the last party. That one falls squarely on Gil. Say you're sorry, Gil.

Oh, and Spiza, thanks for making me look a complete pervert, by the way. I really needed that kind of rep with my increasingly-degenerating life at the moment.

PM to Emon SpizaI've got Fred, Spiza. We'll do our best to keep it alive. And I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Aphin years ago.

The next time I see you, I'm going to punch you in the face.

I don't know what will happen after that. We'll see how I feel.

Harrad.

I just filed the required reports, and sent the memos to the people who needed to be informed of such an incident, just as required by Hierarchy SOP regarding such an events, I wouldn't be much of an Commissar if I didn't follow the rules. It would have been be dereliction of duty if I didn't follow them.

Additionally I have no clue what you are on about... 'Restaurant at the End of the Alphabet' What in the nine hells is that supposed to mean? Can't you just give us the address if you want to meet up? Also why invite us to a party game? Unless your message is some kind of code...

Are you telling us someone is going to die at that party? If so why the hell aren't you calling C-Sec?

- Gamic

PS. Why shouldn't I call C-Sec?
PPS. Also keep your monetary xemna skewer, I'm doing this to serve the Hierarchy, and Council. It's the duty of all to do so, and getting paid for its seems ... dishonorable.

You don't want to be paid, that's your prerogative. But figuring out what I said in that message is the price of admission.

Try reading it aloud, really slowly. I'm sure you'll get it.

Eventually.

Remember that it's a party, not a fireworks display. Bring some balloons, but leave the frat boys at home.

Genuine Solex Remember Macedyn
To: Tashari Amak:

Sorry for the delay. As you know, there's a serious backlog and we are getting through it as quickly as possible.

I've scheduled work and thrown together a rough estimate on cost, based on the old records of the arcology, and the area you've defined. Preliminary work will involve getting a better idea of the work to be done, and finalizing a quote. The rate for that is attached along with the rough estimate and scheduling.

But, we want this done with minimum disturbance of the people there, okay? And you better keep your fingers to yourself or the job. Don’t even think about anything else. We take security seriously and we know where you live.

We will do our best to minimize the interruptions for tenants, but some of the work will necessitate getting into apartments and inside the piping.

And I think it's worth pointing out that if you know where I live, then it goes without saying that you know I live right in the heart of Suns territory, and that a subcontractor merc group's threats is not going to make me blink. I'm sure you would rather not see our rates rise for additional security fees.

Please read the attached documents, and let us know if you want us to proceed. If there are any questions/comments/thoughts, please don't hesitate to ask.

Message to Calidus Solex Hello, Mr. Solex

You drive a hard bargain. But what must be done must be done, I don't want our place to go down the pipes completely.
But be aware, we expect first class work. That Sweet woman was advertising you so live up to that and everyone is happy.

And yeah, please, don't show up with any Suns people or anything, okay? We have a safety record to uphold.
Get to work and let me see the final quote when it's finalized.

I'll let the people know the plumber is coming and clear your payment.
The guy with the flooded shithouse will be so happy. I think I will raise his rent after it's fixed.

Have a great day!

Got it. Balloons, no frat boys.

I know a guy who can hook us up with some decent balloons, not the shitty ones that you've got. The kind that have a lot of capacity for helium. Anybody want me to put in an order for them? It's a party, we're gonna need 'em.

Also, Commissar, protip - nothing dishonorable about doing good deeds for money. The money just lets you continue to finance said good deeds if you feel inclined later. So if you don't want your cut, I'll take it.

Private Message to RavejYo, Ravej, Mek of O here, not sure if you ever read my blog, but I need some shit.

I'm gonna need everything on [this list.] How soon can you get it to [this address] on Omega, and what's yer going rate for speedy delivery? My landlord can just sorta hold onto it for a while.

Thanks in advance.

Private Message user: It's full of stars! via Citadel U Network: user: CUPhotosphereProjectMod2162 Ah much better. Now where were we? Oh yes.
I'm sure you are a student, but as you attend Citadel U (a fine institution) we are looking at different schools. The school I am employed by is known as Marshall College in the UNAS. Still, I can send you the classes personally, it will be easier than pinging it to Earth from the Citadel and then back . Perhaps I should even post the lectures here.

The fall of Rakhana is a cautionary tale to any developing intelligence. Resources were always scarce (arable land in particular) and early industrialization used what little was at hand, ruining the planet and making it nonviable and entirely to costly for recolonization. It still supports life, there are a few nomadic tribes that wander the wasteland, but even that population is only a few thousand. I suppose massive effort could be made to clean the atmosphere and make it habitable again. At any rate when we torched the world we hadn't even discovered fusion yet. The Hanar found us and made an offer that allowed some to survive and join the galactic community. And now here we are. I still make trips back though, there was much lost in the Exodus (the perils of perfect recall, we relied on oral tradition long after writing was invented) and I intend to reclaim some of what time would steal from us. They are now on display in the temple. Ser Hadas Kronos was entrusted with their keeping.

The pottery shards did contain a wealth of information on Drell development, history and some culture. They may yet hold more secrets, but even more they matter as a symbol of what was.

Luckily the robbery of my apartment was largely fruitless. I never found the culprits but the aid of CDN users did return most of my lost items.

Re: Private Message user: It's full of stars! via Citadel U Network: user: CUPhotosphereProjectMod2162 Hello there!
Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions particularly.

Yes, I think I misunderstood you before.
(I assumed you in fact were student of CU that happened to lecture on Earth.)
If you could send me some of your stuff, that would be great.
(I fear I might not have equally exciting material in exchange, since most people appear to find theoretical physics too dry. It never appeared to be popular amongst the majority, if you're interested in any information nevertheless, feel free to contact me any time.)

I never knew there were still people living on Rakhana ever since the exodus.
But I personally consider this as a quite good sign for a possible re-cultivation in the future.
(As long as your people actually even wish to - I know you people underwent lots of changes in practically all aspects. Is there even something like a general desire to return home?)

I by the way added a visit of the temple to my to-do list for future activities.
(It's always again quite ironic to live on the Citadel for so many years and still find new interesting places to go every single day.)

I'm glad to hear you were able to get back a big part of your items due CDN-support.
I guess this network might be more caring and supportive than all those little sass-fights might indicate at first.
(That's a compliment.)

Greetings

Private Message user: It's full of stars! via Citadel U Network: user: CUPhotosphereProjectMod2162 You are quite welcome. It's been a while since anyone showed interest in my work. Even my students seem bored half the time, but that is the way of students sometimes. They just want to hear about the adventures, the death defying stunts and terrible risks. Most of my work is digging through cities that haven't seen a living soul in years. Oh well.
I never did attend CU, but I am linked into their network actually. As a grad student I collaborated with their departments a few times.
I will gladly send you research material and lectures, no need to send me anything. I'm afraid physics would largely go over my head. It never was my strength.

People may be a generous word for those still on the homeworld. There are barely enough resources across the planet to support a few thousand migrants. They have no tech and have all but reverted to instinct over thought. I expect they will die out in a few generations as what little there is gets used up. But you may be right, if we leave it fallow long enough perhaps live will be viable again.

Unfortunately most do not even think of home. Our religion, while not suppressed, is far less common than it used to be as many under the Compact come to worship the Enkindlers or take on other religious views. We are a scattered bunch either living on Kajhe under the Compact or wandering the galaxy. Cultural identity and unity are rare things to modern Drell. Which is part of why I do what I do. I bring a bit of the homeworld back to try to keep us together. When I'm not elsewhere figuring out how other species fell before they reached the galactic stage.

And yes for all the strange fights this place does ultimately seem to be a force for good when things go disastrously wrong.

Forgive me Miss if I am forward but it would be easier to give you copies of my work via a local connection instead of the extranet. I know a small Quarian run cafe in Zakera if you would like to meet.

Good day, gentlefolk!

Some of us haven't interacted much, but all of us frequent Cerberus Daily News, so I thought I'd pass along that I just released a new version of my Automapper software. It's designed for salvagers, primarily, but I know it's of some use to archaeologists in the field as well, and I was hoping some of you might have suggestions on how to make it moreso? Even if you could just me know which databases you use for architectural comparisons and so on, I could release a free plugin to access them or something like that. Get back to me at all, and I'll send you a free product download key at the very least for your time.

Hope to hear from you!

Private message to user TechOptryx In point of fact I don't believe we have ever spoken Jil'Korah vas Dasegar, but this is a happy coincidence. I noticed your advertisement for the new program before I saw your message and debating speaking with you about adaptation to archaeological field work. As for adaptation, adding public databases would be an obvious first step. The Citadel U usually has appropriate one available for public use or a small fee for academics. Perhaps a link to a translator program would also be useful. Not a modern one of course, but you would be surprised how often I have to puzzle out dead languages back at base camp or even in civilized space. So if it could map repeated symbols and compare to known linguistic forms that would help narrow the search even without a direct translation. And, perhaps you already have this, but something linked into motion and bio sensors might help when natives/angry wildlife/merc bands spoil the dig site.
I have a few other thoughts but can save those for another time. I will admit I like the look of the program and will grab it as soon as I have an omnitool again. The transcription and speech to text features seem particularly useful, as does the mapping for future digs.
Thank you for contacting me,

Hey, Michelle!

Do you know how to defend yourself? I know you've been having trouble with gangs lately, and I thought I could help out any way I could. I have extensive knowledge on the subject of self-defense, as I'm a trained soldier with a vanguard classification. I know how to take a target down and keep him down. I know you have Julian Snow, but why don't you try a heavyweight in the field?

Hit me back, I think it'll be fun for the two of us. Besides, I consider you a friend but the last time we spent time together was at a coffee shop almost a year ago, remember? We desperately need to catch up. Don't make me beg for an opportunity to hang out with one of my few female friends on this station.

Honestly, you could have offered to get massages from vorchas I would have gone with it just because you signed "Badass Alliance Vanguard Mom". You just get me.
But it's actually a great idea. I could use some basics. Last time I tried to chip in in a fight I got knived in the arm, and the time before that I peppered a priest.
Mr Snow showed me some moves, but I'm not very gifted at that, and I think his patience ran out pretty fast... I hope I won't get on your nerves too.
So yeah, super idea, we can do that whenever you want.
