Sergeant Hadrian Mars, formerly of Bekenestein 27th Security division. Now, I'm in limbo on Illium. Supposed to transfer to a new command soon, but in the meantime, they're keeping me and the other BBB's (Babied Bastards of Bekenstein, seriously couldn't the rest of the corp come up with a dumber nickname) running security for the paranoid fucks on Illium.

Sir, what do you mean by paranoid fucks?

I mean that the average rich ponce on Illium isn't content to let me do my job, protecting either them or their assets, without breathing down our necks. We do our job with utmost efficiency, but they always have to get in my face about it, asking me if everything is secure, if their has been any suspicious activity, why aren't we covering over there, etc.

I know how to do my fucking job, thank you very much. But I don't give lip because I don't need some black mark on my record for mouthing off and losing a potential customer.

I believe this is one of the instances where working for the government is better than working in the private sector because ultimately the people you work for don't care how you secure the asset so long as it's secure, granted, there are instances where they give the VIP command - these situations, from what I've heard, never go well and I'm glad I've never been in one.

I'm comfortable with where I am, and I'm not ashamed of being known as member of Eclipse. When I say Eclipse Forever, I mean it, Motherfucker.

So I decided to buy that share and I still have no fucking idea what this even means, I got a certificate for proof. Any of the suits in Eclipse care to explain what shareholders are supposed to do?

I'm a colonial who joined the military and never progressed above private, excuse me for not understanding how this works. In all seriousness I do hope I don't botch this, my personal judgement has been getting me in a lot of trouble as of late but...yeah.

Anyway, Eclipse ever thought about manufacturing its own drones and mechs?

Major Melindra Vesh of 24 Company here (a massive thank you to the War for that little promotion), and before 'fourth contact' starts nagging my pretty blue tzu, I'm rather confident that Command couldn't care less about me giving my name out. Honestly, dear, they have much bigger things to worry about.

As for things on my end, well, 24 Company was battered on Earth last year. Still a lower casualty rate than the Suns unit we were forced to work with, of course, but the odds were stacked against us. So now I have a collection of idiotic maidens who somehow made it through basic huntress training, some salarians who don't even begin to compare to the engineers I had before and an assortment of baby-faced humans who swear they served with the Alliance in the War, but don't know their way around a omnitool that's been decently set up for combat.

Athame have mercy on me.

Have you considered ordering the least efficient personnel under your command to go through training again or is that out of the question? I can understand if this isn't an option given that a lot of armies, military or mercenary, have to press their units into service quickly due to post-war crises. Assuming I see a return on my investment, which from what I'm hearing is going to be likely, I might consider trying to purchase property for use as an office and training facility here - assuming the return is enough that I can afford real estate.

That being said this is doubtful considering my investment was not that large and most of the property that was for sale before the war is now occupied for reasons that should be obvious.

I don't know if you're aware, dear, but Eclipse do have recruiting standards. I expect a certain competence from my people - certainly enough that they don't need to go through tides-damned basic training again once they've been assigned to my unit. I assure you, I do not need someone like you telling me how to whip my tides-damned people into shape.

I must say I'm incredibly glad your investment is not large. Athame knows the company would go under if we had idiots like you as our major shareholders.

That's...wow. Well, part of me wants to commend you for being so uh...blunt...the other part of me is wondering if the level of ownage I've just experienced will be felt by future generations of my family. All in all this certainly escalated quickly.
