Hate to play [TRANSLATOR ERROR: Did you mean "Devil's Advocate?"], but what about everyone who got all pissed when it turned out biotics couldn't actually do the superhero thing all that well? Like, no moreso than what can safely be considered realistic? Like, say, 'Bog Frog-level' stuff?

I've known people to be disappointed but I haven't known anyone to get like angry about it.

Still, most human biotics end up in the military and most Marines are alright with the glowies. Though that's more because most everyone knows a time that the company or platoon biotic has saved their arse, rather than to do with Biotic Sensitivity Training.

When I first learned how to use biotics to project myself forward, I was ecstatic. I thought I could fly, and I DID- For five meters, straight-forward into a cushioned target. It wasn't action hero theatrics and it wasn't superhuman psychokinetic abilities.
Lifting requires a lot of focus, and charging even moreso. It's a dangerous skill that requires a lot of discipline to learn and master. A misappropriated attempt at a nova-style maneuver at the wrong moment can get you killed and embarrassed at the same time.

Then there are people like 'Mr. Burke', who I mentioned on the old forum. He thought he was a biotic badass and flailed omniflails around and got splattered by a truck.

Nowadays I mostly use my biotics for parlor tricks and impressing people who haven't seen them before.

I have no idea what half of you people are talking about in this thread (not the biotic stuff, the movie stuff). The downsides of being isolated from modern galactic pop-culture for most of my life I guess.
