As such, the asari need to start recognising that their long-term planning does not work for the rest of the galaxy, and should start adapting. Like every other race has.
We asari have been the most influential race in the galaxy for thousands of years, and that shows no sign of changing, despite the current state of the galaxy.Sapient rights are a universal concern, not an asari-only concern. Much like the use of WMDs, I would assume they are encoded in Citadel law (which applies to all C-Space and Citadel races, including the asari), but I'll admit that I haven't researched it thoroughly.
