The oddest things you learn about people

For example, I've known Helena, my wife, for two years. We have one daughter, and are never very far from each other. We're so disgustingly in love, that we finish each others sentences ocassionally... Ok once, or twice we're not that bad.

So, when her sister Maria showed me this, I was more than a little shocked. Turns out Mucky used to sing with a band, and wasn't that bad at it either.

Made me think about the other odd quirks of action or history people possess.

So, for idle chatter, what about you do you think people would be surprised to learn about you?

As for me...hmm. Not sure. I like to watch krogan sports, like thrash ball, and that jousting thing they have coming up.

I like to go hunting and my first kill was a moose. I hope Dad hasn't done anything to the head in my room...

I have a substantial collection of 21st century wines. Two Australian whites, Three mass produced french wines and a Kenyan local brew. Lovely stuff. Must be quite expensive now but I'd never sell them. Family Heirlooms and all.

Despite this one's interest in the wider galaxy, this one has met in person exactly three non-hanar - and all of those were drell. This one has studied the Many Voices from a distance with great interest, but being from a lesser known region of Kahje and lacking family in the trading or diplomatic business, it never had the chance to meet any offworlders. This one greatly regrets that, but will soon have the opportunity to immerse itself, for which this one is thankful.

I used to really be into Haraba. That's basically batarian boxing, for the uninformed.

I also had a bit of a pyromaniacal streak as a kid, right up until I torched a few valuables by mistake. Had to explain it all as an accident in order to avoid getting my parents killed in retaliation by the local gangs.

I play the cello.

Embarassing factoid about my husband: He's secretly a big TLE fan. Got hooked after watching reruns in the hospital while they fixed up his chest after the war ended.

My boss originally intended to have non-asari dancers of both genders to work at her club, but when She noticed that her club had more female than male patrons, She fired her female employes and they founded what is now the Cyan's daughter club.

I'm not lactose intolerant despite being adult. Yayyyyyyyy

My coworker David is a former Sun, and quite frankly one of the meanest assholes I've ever met. He claims it was from his superior, a Batarian I think, and he's one of those really aggressive types at that. Swearing-est person I've ever known too...

But, as it turns out, he is rather passionate about sculpture and pottery. He has several of his own pieces that he sells down on one of the markets through a friend. I think it has something to do with anger management and a court order.

Hmmm, well I don't intend to be blabbing on other people's secrets, but I can share one of my own.

I've never liked dogs. No there wasn't some bad childhood incident or anything, I just think dogs are too needy and often intimidating. Never had a dog and never want one.

I have developed a taste for salarian brandy.

During my first century, I spent fifteen years as a cheerleader for Armali University's duramoda team - initially to try and impress the star topwinger, with whom I'd become hopelessly infatuated - but four years later she finished her degree and moved offworld with her hanar partner. I kept at it, however; it helped me blow off steam (and keep in shape) during my postgraduate studies.
I've still got the uniform, but unfortunately I'm not a maiden any more so it's... rather a poor fit.

I'd tell you something about my daughters as well, but I'm feeling merciful today.
