Warlord Krotaq Endorses Varatyl Condom Line Despite Protests

Despite vocal protest from members of his party and the opposition, as well as the Board of Reproductive Ethics in Clan Krotaq, Warlord Krotaq has gone forward today with his endorsement of the Varatyl line of luxury condoms.

The politician and minor pop culture icon has, according to the manufacturer of the condoms (Dalami Comforts Incorporated), already filmed one commercial for the line and is preparing to film more in addition to endorsing them twice in public.

The Varatyl line has been surrounded by controversy since its release, especially since it was made the industry standard in Palaven's porn industry.

Dalami Comforts Incorporated stock is up .8% since the announcement, while Warlord Krotaq's popularity has risen by .1%, the slowest increase since he took office early in 2170.

Heh. As funny as it may sound, he's setting a good example to the re-invigorated krogan to play safe and not contribute to population explosion.

I do not see why it should be controversial, if nothing else it should be seen as a mark of quality; the Palavian porn industry is one of the safest and most respected out there, performers are held to the highest health and safety standards and the equipment they use are known for both their strength and comfort. Doubly so for the condoms they use as the standards they follow tend to equal and often surpass Hierarchy military standards. More than one legion has adopted condoms by Dalami Comforts as part of their standard kit.


Personally, I always carry a few Varatyls with me, turian love them and they are the closest thing you can get to riding bareback and still have the protection only condoms can provide and you do not have to worry about some of the shit other manufacturers try to pull. Only drawbacks are that the use of premium materials means they cost more and are therefore harder to find in automated vending machines.

You know, I have to say, when I first heard we had un-nuetered the hateful, grudge-holding warriors of the galaxy, I was less than thrilled. Now, however, if one of their esteemed leaders is an advocate for safe, risk-free, no-chance-of-spawning-future-nigh-invulnerable-death-machines sex when all the krogan will be wanting to get it on, I'm starting to be less... Opposed to the idea that they can have babies.

That being said, I really don't want history to repeat itself. I guess only time will tell what's going to happen with the krogan.

I agree that this is a good first step, but the real 'revolution' will happen if/when the females decide to use birth-control implants. These would allow them to control when they want to become pregnant and would really mitigate accidents that can happen due to erroneous use of a condom.

I would not hold my breath however, such an implants would be very contentious as some would no doubt see it as 'self-neutering', even if it is temporary and reversible.

We got a download of Warlord Krotaq's first commercial a couple of days ago - he's quite the showman, isn't he? Varatyl seems a good choice, we use all Thessian-made at the Oasis but ExtranetPlayground got in a batch of DCI lines for filming work (purely for awareness of course, it's nanotech all the way for the actual functionality) and they seem quite satisfactory.
