Illium Entertainment Announces Bioticman Reboot.

Illium Entertainment, the company that recently acquired the rights to the Bioticman franchise from Vision Studios, has officially announced the upcoming vid that will reboot the Bioticman series.

Bioticman was first released as a series of comics about twenty years ago on Earth. It follows the adventures of the human uber-biotic superhero Ivan Strahl, aka Bioticman, as he fights all crimes and evil on the human homeworld. The series soon became widely popular and even saw some off-world sales.

An Illium Entertainment representative spoke to us today. "It is a truly great series! It definitely has potential and we at IE have seen it. In fact, I am surprised how Bioticman has yet to become a hit across the galaxy! But anyhow, that's what we're here for now!"

With Vision Studios now defunct, IE has saved the franchise and plans to introduce to the greater galactic community. No official announcements have been made on the cast yet but the vid promises to get old fans nostalgic and mesmerize newcomers, introducing new themes through the series to which members of all species can relate.

The news has caused a lot of fuss in the fandom, with extranet activity bursting soon after the announcement. Many fans actively speculate on who will play the role of the Bioticman, with the most popular candidate as of yet being the human vid star and model, Nathan Sato.

Palmer Why are you reading over here?
But Sato sucks at acting. They can't pick him.

On the Move.

Seems exactly appropriate for Bioticman. I can already hear "Luckily my biotics allow me to generate a shield of dark energy!" in that shrill voice of his.

So, who are they going to cast as that offensive caricature of a turian villainess?

Is this going to be for biotics what Blasto is for Spectres? That is, completely wrong and probably offensive to some people?

Probably a lot more people, now that I think about it, since I doubt Spectres really care about Blasto at all. Meanwhile, there are a lot of biotics around.

How was it perceived on earth back when it first came out? Was it positive or negative for biotics?

I don't know the material at all, but if that's any indication, it's got to be Prixit Naoran. Have you seen Ironpath Chronicles? 'Offensive caricature of a turian villainess' doesn't get much more clear-cut than that. (I'm kind of inclined to give her a pass, though - acting that over the top just can't happen by accident, and I've heard she's actually quite good in other works. One of the reviewers here guessed that her performance in Ironpath was a calculated act of revenge against the writers.)

This one would think that the Blasto films would be more offensive to something else... But it can't quite think of what it would be. Perhaps one of the others can enlighten the other.

That's a good point.

Sorry!

This one accepts the other's apology but hopes that it is more considerate in the future.

Good day.

They could go for a darker, more realistic take and use Ian Stane. He survived the war, and I heard he's really hardcore as a method actor- He went through a marine training course for Darkness Behind The Stars. Also, he's got the superhero look- Stubble, dark hair, bright blue eyes..

Oh I disagree. I believe his performance in Mandate and In Love, Always was stunning.

I would also like to direct your attention to his equally stunning looks.

As far as Bioticman goes, my interest pushed me no further than watching the first Vid adaptation; and that was mostly driven due to my curiosity about biotics. But I might be giving it a chance this time.

Comic book adaptation? Not watching it. All comic book movies have sucked and will always suck.

I would refute that.

Clearly you've never watched any of the Archangel movies.

Well, if it helps? Look at graphic novels. The good comics are always called graphic novels. Might change yer perception a bit.

Oh, I sure can my dear lady.

Three words.

Tales from Andromeda.

Best series Now-Fi has to offer.

For as long as I know how to love, I know I'll stay alive!"

Very wise those humans were.<3

Well, I kinda guess you could say it was positive? Like back then we were still stuck on 'space magic!' so to have a biotic portrayed as the hero was a good thing.

Having people think biotics are all superheros is better than them wanted to beat the crap out of a biotic for 'reading their mind'.
