Biography

Raised in a primitive mountain encampment, Vindi was brought into the separatist conflict on Solregit at a very early age, holding roles as scout and sniper. Following the customs of her birth-kin she had no birth certificate, no legal identity and no formal schooling.

Vindi is missing both mandibles; details are classified but loss appears directly related to the interrogation which found her mother guilty of high treason and summarily executed. Vindi was approximately age nine when this occurred.

Vindi was captured by Hierarchy forces at age thirteen and, with no proof of age, was declared an adult and jailed for "membership in a prohibited organization". Was sent to medium-security prison in South Solregit to remove her from the influence of fellow Sundowners. Was removed from general population when guard presented case that her age and personality made her a candidate for alternative correction.

Following turian custom attempts were made to rehabilitate her, including teaching her basic literacy and mathematics, Turian history, and introductory trades in cooking and food management. Released from prison at age 20 when testing indicated she had met the minimum standards for turian education (equivalent of the average turian at age 15). Combination of use as child soldier and institutionalization during teenage years resulted in severe dependency issues; she required constant reassurance and guidance. Becomes detached under stressful situations.

Taken in by Miles Vici and Louki Fidele when her father abandoned her. Brought to the Citadel by girlfriend--relationship ended circa the Reaper War. On the Citadel she met Mexta217 and together the two filled the holes in each other's lives: he offered her a sense of safety, protection, encouragement and resassurance; she taught him to take joy in life. He got her a job at the Sniper's Touch shooting range, which she eventually bought from the original owner, Mr Hanol, who was retiring.

A cluster of others began associating with the range, a mixture of Sundowners, duct rats, refugees and wayward wanderers. Vindi did her best to employ them and care for them on the condition they give back to the range as a whole. Without intending, she found herself running a clan, and was recognized as a Chieftain by Louki Fidele of Solregit. Following Sundowner tradition she armed the range for a siege and was rewarded during the Reaper War when a higher than normal number of people in her neighbourhood survived due to her advance planning. The Reaper War also left her with two local gangs, the Blue Fangs and Rolling Bones, recognizing her as their joint leader. Now that the war is over, Vindi is running for mayor of Denakot, hoping to legalize the unofficial leadership role she finds herself playing in the neighbourhood.

Leadership is not without its challenges. Vindi has found herself needing to be firm, even harsh, to protect her people in the rough neighbourhood of Denakot, and to make some hard decisions that come with a cost.
