Biography
Adrianea Galaex (known to Addy by friends) is a 32 year old turian woman and member of the Hierarchy's Internal Intelligence Bureau. She has been a deep cover operative for most of her post-boot career specializing in infiltrating various separatist groups. Her most recent assignment was infiltrating the Sundowner clan on the Citadel starting just before the Reaper War. As part of the operation she seduced and eventually married Martello Hasta. Adrianea over time became overly attached to Martello, eventually leading to complications. Having a couple of major successes in rooting out fugitive separatists while keeping cover, Adrianea eventually blew her own cover to her husband during the Reaper invasion of the Citadel. Martello's death during that was followed by Adrianea's extraction and a shift in her career track. Adrianea did make sure to leave Martello's daughter, Lucia, near the Sundowners before leaving.The past year, Adrianea has been training, first on Earth while the relays were being rebuilt, then on Palaven once the homeworld was reconnected to the relay system. This training has been to help facilitate a transfer from the deep cover section of the IIB to a more direct action saboteur and guerilla fighter. Concerns over the potential for systems separated from the Hierachy has changed priorities for her superiors given that dangerous separatist/pirate groups may be more entrenched than before making regular police action against them impractical.
Adrianea has a strong sense of duty and justice, but her previous work makes her, oddly for a turian, natural at hiding emotions and lying. The assignment with the Sundowners has led Addy to be decisively against becoming attached to anyone, on the basis of friendship or romance. To deal with conflicting feelings her previous marriage brought up, Adrianea has become even more fervently attached to her often draconian sense of justice. With a year of training under her belt, training that Adrianea is not entirely sure was not also probation for intentionally blowing her cover, she is eager to get out in the field, and maybe settle some old scores.
