Biography
Quite possibly one of the oldest remaining Matriarchs (especially since the Reapers' passage and the backlash from 'The Great Betrayal' have exterminated most of her rivals for the dubious title), Arlessa has borne witness to a great many changes throughout galactic civilization over the course of her lifetime. Financially, she rests as comfortably as one would expect from someone who was wise enough to live to her age.
Her corporate standings are somewhat stealthy, since she made it a point to never claim total ownership of more than a few respectable businesses. Instead, she has her fingers in a great many pots, buying small but somewhat impossible to ignore numbers of voting shares in every little industry that looks like it might end up going places, including the Sisterhood of the Eclipse in their fledgling years. In fact, while she also lost a great deal in the Reaper War, she still managed to maintain a funding system that provided the most reliable assets to many such organizations during their trials.
Physically and mentally speaking, she had gone to great lengths to see to it she met the ideal her species had in mind for the eldest age category by the time she reached it. Centuries of gene therapy (in the science's varying stages of development), training, education and life experience had gone into molding her into something beautiful and extreme, the very sight of which struck lesser members of her race with awe and terror. And unlike many other of the Matriarch survivors, she maintained the unbridled arrogance to suit. She also had a rather sick sense of humor, and the resources to get away with doing some things rather unholy to the average person. Especially those that prove to have the humiliating and fatal flaw of believing they can somehow screw her over without her permission.
Her one big downside is a few haunting decades of having been a child abuser, but that's a little thing and in her mind, she's over that now.
