Biography
Ellael was born on the Asari colony of Lusia to a Maiden mother and a Hanar father. Her father was on the older side and died before she was out of infancy, and her mother's profession as an unskilled industrial laborer and occasional stripper meant that, while Ellael wasn't neglected, she learned a certain degree of self-reliance. When the Reapers hit Lusia Ellael was quickly seperated from her mother, surviving with various resistance groups for several months before she was eventually rescued and transported to the Citadel.She found herself in Refugee Camp C14, in Tayseri Ward. The ward had suffered magnificently during the Geth Ward, and its decrepit condition led to many refugee camps to be formed there. In order to obtain desperately needed supplies during the war and the immediate aftermath, Ellael and several other children were sent out to beg for supplies or do odd jobs. Ellael felt at home here, and devoted herself to her task. Now, a year after the end of the war,many of the refugees are leaving as they find jobs or return to their homeworlds. With the population of the camp dwindling it is inevitable that she'll eventually be transferred to a foster home or orphanage, an inevitability she feels very apprehensive about.
Ellael is very Stoic, and believes in controlling her emotions. She is also very compassionate, deploring violence and discrimination, but her experiences on Lusia and the Citadel have also left very worldly and cynical. Above all else, Ellael desires to be a useful part of a protectives community while retaining the indepedence she's grown used to.
