Biography
Kirse is a human biotic that was born in the Terminus System sometime in the year 2169 on the planet Gelai. For the first fifteen years of her life, she was a human test subject for a company known as GeneTec. Originally a cautious member of the boards, Kirse (then Subject Epsilon) joined the Cerberus Daily News boards as an attempt to find mercenaries to help her against GeneTec.
Shortly after Epsilon joined the boards, she gathered up a group of mercenaries to take down GeneTec. The mission was to destroy the research facility on Gelai, and hopefully retrieve the test subjects that were inside. During that time, a mercenary by the name of Everett Maliszewski grew sympathetic to her story, and, while they failed to save the test group that Epsilon grew up with, convinced her that she should head to Citadel Space and get help so that she could live a normal life. She ended up at the Jon Grissom Academy, where she learned how to slowly integrate into Citadel Space. About a year after, Maliszweski returned, this time with his bondmate, and offered to adopt Epsilon.
With the adoption came her new name, and Kirse lived with Malizweski and Matriarch Mirala T'Narf for a time, settling into a peaceful life. However, this illusion was shattered when bounty hunters from GeneTec attacked the apartment. Realizing she was not safe, she requested assistance from an old friend of hers, Urdnot Thaig, rather than from her adoptive parents. When Everett and Mirala found out, they tried to understand her, and Kirse started to trust her family.
When the War started, the family had been on a vacation on Earth. They saw the Reapers invade, and they barely managed to get away. Mirala was overworked from using her biotics, and Kirse had lost an arm. Everett was called to join the N7 Special Forces, leaving Mirala and Kirse at the Citadel. Even while she was recuperating, Kirse worked to fight against GeneTec, now discovered to be a Cerberus front, by feeding information to the Alliance. When Cerberus attacked the Citadel, she was taken away from Mirala, saved only by a stranger. Realizing that the Citadel was no longer safe, she sent a message to Mirala informing her that she was heading to Tuchanka, where she remained until the end of the war.
