Biography
- 2152: Marcus Trent is born in the city of Armstrong Luna, second child of Alexandro (a colonial engineer) and Heather (a terraformation science specialist) Trent.
-2159: Trent family moves to Benning, and give birth to two more children, Mary and Naomi.
-2168: Alexandro Trent accepts a job on Mindoir, his two daughters join him, while Heather remains with Marcus on Benning while he completes high school. Even though separated the family attempts to spend as much time with each other as possible.
-2170: Attack on Mindoir; Alexandro, Mary and Naomi Trent are never found and are believed to be either dead or enslaved. Marcus graduates high school on Benning. Later that year he enlists within the Alliance Navy, and enters training to become a Corpsman.
-2171: Marcus Trent completes training and enters service with the Alliance Navy. Most of his posts over the next few years are on small patrol vessels, listening outposts and frigates.
-2178: Battle of Torfan; Marcus Trent volunteers for groundside operations with Alliance Marines on Torfan. Unit suffers extreme casualties during the course of the assault, Marcus and other medical personnel from his unit are recognized for courage under extreme conditions.
-2179: Facing formal reprimand for insubordination and disparaging comments about the Alliance command structure, Marcus Trent resigns from the Alliance Navy. He becomes a member of the "Freedom for all Crusade" an peaceful abolitionist movement in Citadel space.
-2181: Rift occurs within the "Freedom Crusade" an extremist movement calling itself "The John Brown Society"(Named for a radical human abolitionist in UNAS history). The group goes on a spree of attacks targeting governments or corporations working with the Batarian Hegemony or various Terminus slave states. These attacks culminate in the death of a wealthy Hanar business owner, and an undercover Salarian government agent. C-Sec takes action and apprehends 15 of the 24 group members, including the group's founder. Marcus Trent and several accomplices manage to escape.
-Marcus Trent and other members of the John Brown society, in payment for helping with their escape join Cerberus as part of the group's military branch. Marcus operates under the alias "Mindoir Crusader." Actions in Cerberus over following years is contained in sealed testimony,
RECORD EXPUNGED.
-2186: Marcus Trent takes part in the takeover and occupation of Omega. He is a squad commander for the "Zealot" cell. Unit is heavily involved with forward combat operations in the sub sections and slum districts of Omega. Rift begins to form between the cell and Cerberus Command, particularly officers overseeing operations on Omega. Marcus Trent is punished for disobeying orders and breaking operational security (punishment resulted in loss of right eye and replacement with cybernetic implant). Cerberus allows Marcus to live for fear that killing him may drive the cell into rebellion, cell is prioritized for Integration procedures.
