OOC:

A Somewhat Less Inaccurate Biography:

Former Operative [Redacted] was probably born on Earth some time in the 30's or 40's, though when asked, he invariably changes the subject. He claims to have spent the better part of two decades as an Alliance officer in the special forces and Office of Naval Intelligence, though the relevant records are missing and the timing doesn't quite add up. Much of [R]'s military career was spent on anti-piracy actions in the Skyllian Verge, and he lived on Elysium when off duty. It has been alleged that he became involved with and eventually engaged to one of the colonists, but no concrete evidence supports this. He was off planet during the Skyllian Blitz.

After the Blitz, he was given the command of an experimental O7 special forces team. During the lead-up to Torfan, this team was responsible for - [Redacted] - disgrace, and the O7 program was deemed a failure. Disavowed and wanted for court-martial, [Redacted] and most of his team joined Cerberus.

Little is known about [Redacted]'s time with Cerberus. In one of his earliest assignments, he and Operative Acosta attempted to subvert a [Redacted] on Trident while posing as newlyweds; years later, the operative admitted that this cover and its failed relationship were the catalysts for his enmity with Acosta. Other known operations include the decontamination of a station infected with husks, the retrieval of a stolen virus, and the inspection of new research stations. He also served on an evaluation tribunal for Operative Pharos. Unlike many other operatives, he preferred to complete his operations without killing civilians (human or non-human) when at all possible. Analysis of Cerberus records suggest that he repeatedly posed as an Alliance Intelligence Agency operative named "Yorick." His exact position within the organization has never been made clear, and seemed to change from one accounting to another; however, he was generally considered to be one of the highest ranking members of the [Redacted] cell.

About six months before the Reaper Invasion, [Redacted] realized that Cerberus had been steadily departing from their original goals, and decided to look into retirement. Of course, Cerberus's retirement packages tended to run from "bullet to the head" to "test subject for husk experiments," so a slightly different approach was necessary. According to the official report, there was a containment during a mission to inspect Cerberus's new Caelum Facility, and the operative killed everyone involved (including himself and Acosta) to prevent any sort of spread. As he was discovered six months later to be alive and living on Eden Prime, it is likely that some or all of this report was fabricated.

Shortly after his reappearance, [Redacted] met with fellow defector Pharos at a bar on Noveria and explained his interest in capturing Phoenix, a very large, well-hidden Cerberus shipyard somewhere in the Horsehead Nebula. At this meeting, Cerberus attempted to deliver their former employees the promised severance packages, but were unsuccessful. Using information acquired from the failed attack, [R] began tracing Cerberus transmissions throughout the Horsehead Nebula. He was visiting a hacker on the Citadel during the Cerberus Coup attempt, and allowed defenders on Aroch-Shalta Ward to access an arsenal he had hidden within a chocolate shop. He has repeatedly denied all knowledge of the explosion that severely damaged 4 blocks of the ward. After the coup, he returned to the Horsehead Nebula and continued his search for Phoenix with the assistance of other former O7's. They tracked down and destroyed a Cerberus anti-matter production facility, and used information acquired there to assist with the rescue of Dr. Julia Weiss.

[Redacted]'s operations near the end of the war are harder to account for, though it is generally believed that he was involved with the battle for Veratix and Cronos Stations. He did not participate in the final battle on Earth, instead continuing his search for Phoenix.

Currently, [Redacted] is a the chairman on [Redacted] Security Consultants, a respected firm on Noveria; any perceived connections with Molurus Aerospace are entirely coincidental. In his work with [R]SC, he sent a technical team to Erszbat to assist the batarian hacker known as Mekan with the decryption of a former StateSec OSD. [Redacted]'s activities on Noveria have brought him into conflict with the Regent of Silence, a local information broker who rose to power after the destruction of the relay network. He is currently investigating the Regent's incipient Helium-3 monopoly in the Horsehead Nebula. Rumors that he has met with Pharos to discuss the establishment of a Cerberus successor organization are complete exaggerations. He has made no efforts to establish partnerships outside the nebula.
