So the first thing I noticed about our shiny new forums (after the dancing orange-head guy) is that we've got an influx of new people, and a lot of them (you? us?) are rocking the badge or repping Eclipse in the sig.

Now, I know a few of you (some better than others), but it ain't called the 'Big Three' for nothing. So I thought I'd make a thread for us all to shoot the shit, y'know?

Where'bouts is everyone? What's doing?

Major Nassa D'Veyra, for those who don't know - been with the Sisterhood nearly a century now, across the Terminus and the Verge over to Illium and Omega. Spent the war under siege on Illium, but I've been shuffled over to Omega to retrain the Company and take a couple of re-familiarisation courses with all the new tech drifting 'round.

Anyone else on-station, or does everyone have something more exciting?

Chester Quihanna, Eclipse Heavy Weapons Specialist. Just a grunt, ma'am. Stationed on Illium, currently, just waiting for something to come up. Been with Eclipse bout 3 years now. Good to see more of us here, sir, ma'am. Don't want to be caught up with a bunch of blueballs or bloodpack thugs.

I just wanted to say thanks for everything during the Reapers. Nos Astra probably would've gotten overrun during the last few pushes without your divisions bolstering the defenses. Well, the current Nos Astra. I mean, you're still maniacs and war criminals, but you also helped pull our asses out of the fire. So thank you, for what that's worth from me. If you ever need decontamination tech on Illium, I'll knock the rates down for you.

You know that it's sad when a mercenary company handles payment better than a governmental military.

Shrell, last time I was a staff officer was when I was on loan to STG. That was an experience.

Anyway, Major Keynra Dij, did six years with the Union as a logistics officer, been with the corp for five now in the same job. Not glamorous in the least but someone has to give the egg-eaters like Major D'Veyra their bullets, bombs and beans. That said, the galaxy seems bent on making me play infantry for the past year or so, so I've done my share of time playing with the macho people.

If you ask me, it's overrated.

Anyway, I'm stuck on Illium right now waiting for Command to decide what they're gonna do with a commander who no longer has a unit to command, so I'm spending my time drinking and writing my memoirs.

Apparently I'm not a very good writer. You win some, you lose some.

Can one who isn't associated with the organization ask questions of its personnel in this thread or is this pretty much just for employees only? Because I was curious how many divisions Eclipse is split into and how you differentiate between them given that I've seen difference in certain Eclipse units appearances. Yellow with black logos, black with white logos, and units that are either all female or all asari - I forget which.

Genuine sympathy: Don't worry, Major Dij. That surge of recruits we've been seeing since Nos Varda hasn't quite let up yet.

Any unit worth its eggs wears the standard yellow. The only guys with black armor are the Babied Bastards of Bekenstein (though they probably have a legit-sounding unit name), and they're basically glorified mall cops.

Also no unit is all one gender or species. Sentient Resources would throw a shitfit of terrifying intensity.

Tides, man, that's complete tzu. I mean, it was bad enough with what's-her-name (Wyra?), but after Illium that'd be just irre-fucking-deemable.

Worst comes to worst, I ain't above reassigning Aleena to medical or something, if you need a berth that bad.

There're a lot of formations out there - not entirely sure what our current strength is (too many units need restructuring after, well, the war), but there's a reason we're Big Three.

As for the uniform choices, Dij has it right - white-on-black's for security duty only, everyone else wears the black-on-yellow.

I find it funny that the lamest of your units wear black armor, a chuckle-worthy inversion of popular military conception of black armor equaling spec ops, in my opinion at least. Still, you mercs have my respect, how much do shares cost in the company these days anyways?

Informative: The corp has me whenever an operation needs a less... delicate touch. There's plenty of that, too; lot of action in the Terminus these days. Of course, the major refuses to skip out on any of those ops.

I'll look into the benefits of being a shareholder and just go from there, I guess, still I'm bored out of my mind so I've actually thought about looking for one of your recruiters. I only decided against it because I'm Alliance and I'll always be Alliance, whether they want me to be or not.

So any of you got your hands on the new security mechs they've been pumping out? From what I hear they're a lot more efficient than the HK models, the most advanced ones seem to be the result of having geth or quarian consultants involved in development and testing.

Scimitar shotgun for close up and personal, ML-77 Missile Launcher for when the enemy on the far side of the room requires some spice o life, as many grenades as I can carry, and a few remote explosives to mix it up a little bit.

I hope you know that means that if any number of technical problems arise you're essentially a walking bomb, so, yeah, might want to tone it down on the explosives.
