The UCL is proud to announce its new season. There will be the same exciting combat you know and love, in Singles, Doubles, and Squad matches! It's the same full-contact, bullets-flying head to head competition, with the added depth and variety of an entire galaxy full of competitors! So stay tuned this season to watch old Earth favorites like the Edmonton Blood Dragons and Rhode Island Knights take on all the home-planet teams they used to, and see how they stack up to teams from around the galaxy! UCL President Karen Graves says that this is the "best looking season of combat yet," and "my father would be proud to see what I've done with the league in the year since his.. passing."

...My interest in this is completely determined by the number and performance of drell teams.

Rhode Island Knights are where it's at. Three seasons ago, I saw "Buzzsaw" Buckner land three consecutive knockout shots at the end of the regional tournament live. It was something else- And I got him to sign a combat helmet I have in storage.

Last time I caught a match, they used special mods on their weapons to reduce impact right before contact with the other players Enough to not be lethal, but you can tell the players feel it. Their armors have to go through as much testing as military ones do, if that's any indication.

Personally I'm rooting for the Moscow Bears. There is just something appealing about a team using rugged equipment to hold their own that makes me respect them so much, which is strange, given I'm normally a fan of bleeding edge tech.

Tevardi Highmarks and Cipritine Legionnaires are in. I think the Rhodese Battalion's in, but no idea if UCL's letting them join after that fatality on the Omega Circuit.

The Cartagena Patrol has been officially rejected, so their shouldn't be 'accidental' fatalities or attempts to port in Nemean Rules.

Bears are a solid team and I've always enjoyed their matches, plus Tarkov is a treat to see in action. Guy's built like a tank and can take hits like one. Winter Grand Tournament, 2185? Goddamn.


Raptors are flexible, accurate, and the team has some of the best discipline this side of Edmonton. They kick ass, only reason they're not doing better is Lacy is a royal prick and a glory hound. Rest of the guys are a machine.

Alright, yes they might not be topping the rankings individually but they work incredibly well together. Except for you know Lacy (who is a dick).


I am still of the personal opinion that that was a weapons malfunction but, in any case, last I heard an official ruling hasn't been issued. Which is a pity because they're an excellent group. Would be interesting to see how homeworld teams stack up in comparison.


Oh dear God that would be something to watch. Probably end with half the arena in rubble and the other half on fire.
