Hey everyone!

I noticed on IRC there was a concern about bringing in new members. I think one of the main attractions of CDN is the awesome storylines we've been doing, as they provide for a remarkable read. So I'd like to ask all members to gather on the old and new forum all the threads that are important for your characters, are really show him for who he is, or where he was plain fun to read.

What would be nice would be to separate the alts for better reading, for instance I'll post later as HereToHelp, and since this thread is aimed at newcomers I'll mention whose alt she is, for better comprehension. This doesn't apply of course to characters who didn't transition to the new forum. If you ask me they deserve their portfolios too.

Ideally your characters' portfolios should be in this thread, in your ooc page, and in your wiki page if/when you have one.
Ho, and don't hesitate to link pertinent wiki informations! For example when I'll create Slaves4Us' page I'll link it in this post.

The equivalent of this thread on the old forum, where you get to see old characters and storylines.

Another thing. Sometimes when you want to follow a character you like the big threads aren't everything, the little posts make the character. Until we get the function allowing us to display a member's posts, just type (member's name) site:cerberusdailynews.com on google. It doesn't work perfectly, but it's better than nothing.

Chasing Suri

A plotline involving espionage, betrayal, scrappy drell, and more! I'm pretty much telling this from Cerastes' perspective, I hope no one involved minds. Suri'Neyvi = fourth contact, Rom Anbel = 18/q/f and One Classy Bloke, Jil'Korah = TechOptryx, I Am Kirok = Kirok, Cerastes = Cerastes.

"ENCRYPTED: Services Temporarily Available: Omega Nebula" - Revenant Corp. deploys an agent to research Cerberus Daily News, on the basis that many notable figures in the galaxy have frequented it in the past.

"CDN Demographics" - A strange, albino drell appears suddenly on the boards, asking about its residents. It is the first of many.

"hi there :-)" - Bewilderingly, a young quarian girl who is apparently seeking dates appears on the boards. She asks many questions.

"it was a trap" - Whereupon it is revealed that 18/q/f is actually One Classy Bloke, otherwise known as Rom Anbel, the volus who survived defying Abattoir and Suri'Neyvi. Cerastes offers to work with Anbel, which leads to...

"[Undisclosed Location] A pleasant conversation." - ... the volus and the drell meeting up to describe specifics of the assignment. Anbel reveals that he wants to find Suri'Neyvi. Cerastes leaves the conversation with a sour taste in his mouth, and decides to contact other sources to find out more.

"[Omega] A Sinking, A Sickening of the Heart (Closed)" - After Anbel makes the mistake of pissing off the Wrong Drell, Cerastes meets with Shirin Vedral (une_serpente_verte), purported daughter of Abattoir. The two strike a deal to betray Anbel.

"[Omega] The Losing Bet" - Herein, Anbel is thoroughly and utterly betrayed, and meets his end at the claws of a hierarchy turian. Cerastes and Shirin escape into the depths of Omega, then engage in a ball-shattering scuffle.

"[Omega] The Worst Weekend Ever. EVER." - Still recovering from his encounter with Shirin, Cerastes is caught by Kirok and dragged back to the pirate ship belonging to a group known simply as The Band. He is questioned and eventually set free on the grounds that he is close to finding Suri'Neyvi.

"To Whom It May Concern" - After the death of Rom Anbel, Cerastes makes tentative contact with Suri'Neyvi vas Rosenkreuz.

"[Nos Astra] A play in three acts" - In the meantime, Shirin tracks down her father's former psychologist, Ana'therion vas Nedas. Shirin beats her until she provides the last remaining files on Abattoir.

"[Various, MSV Azure Wheelbarrow] Drell make poor whales." - Jil'Korah, a member of The Band, infiltrates Cerastes' ship on the basis that Cerastes was rude to him in a previously mentioned thread. It is a factor that later becomes crucial.

"[Omega] Tread Softly" - Operating on a tip, Cerastes meets with Grom and uncovers the location of Suri'Neyvi.

"[Omega] Book of the Month" - Now that all of the appropriate pieces are in place, Cerastes speaks once more to Shirin before leaving for Illium.

"[Illium, Nos Olmos] So A Drell Walks Into A Hotel Room..." - Upon arriving on Illium, Cerastes is intercepted and kidnapped by Suri'Neyvi, who has some questions of her own...

"[Illium] Without Empathy" - ... which she asks very impolitely in this thread. Cerastes is tortured, his left leg mutilated. Before he can be killed, Suri is distracted. Shirin takes the opportunity to take her broker back.

"[Tasale, Exarch Station] Bad Medicine" - In closing to the arc, The Band, having utilized Cerastes' ship "Eidolon" as an escape route (courtesy of Jil'Korah's prior hacking), lands on a medical station nearby and registers him as a patient... while robbing the place blind. Shirin Vedral, feeling responsible for Cerastes' torture, pays for a full knee replacement.

The plot ends with mixed resolutions: Shirin, in Without Empathy, decides to let go of pursuing her father's first "pick", while Cerastes experiences emotional release in the form of his replaced knee. The Band continues on with their heists, their leader now fully focused. Suri, as of yet, has not been found, but nor is she pursued.

Mano'har gets half his cock burnt off by a concubine.

Sulla arrives on the Citadel after getting drafted into a high-profile university focused on alien cultures. Being 19 years old, the first thing he does is to seek out a bar. There he meets Serpentis and Harrad, and things escalate in typical CDN fashion. Finally, C-Sec has the place surrounded because the duo is afraid there might be a bomb in the bar, and a krogan charges Sulla (explaining his hatred towards krogan), takes Harrad hostage and shoots Serpentis.

Just something that get’s you inside Sulla’s head. How a normal morning progresses for Sulla when he was still a student. Not a spectacular piece, but I think it fleshes out the character nicely

Stairs
A prequel to Sins of Our Fathers. Sulla's father gets kidnapped by a son of a pirate who was responsible for Sulla's mother's death, and whom Sulla's father Gartux hunted down and tortured to death. Sulla decides to take matters into his own hands, go AWOL and hire a band of mercs to get his father back.
